  • Queen Corellin's Warning: Before the party departed, Queen Corellin spoke to them privately about the Book of the Nine Hells that Graa possesses. She warned them to protect it at all costs, as it not only contains blueprints for the Ley Line device but also a one-off spell to summon Asmodeus. She also reminded them that Varalla (Jennifar) was once a hero before 3,000 years in the Shadowfell corrupted her.
  • Captain Lee & Saskia: The party boarded the Star-Skimmer airship. Captain Lee was furiously reading the instruction manual Graa gave him, while Saskia and the Elven Druid Guild transformed into Giant Eagles to escort the ship through the sky. Before leaving them at the jungle, Saskia gave them a final blessing and Captain Lee wished them luck.

Actions Taken

  • The Arcane Aurora: During the 12-hour flight, an aurora of arcane energy (likely caused by the disrupted Ley Lines) struck the ship, knocking out the front-right engine crystal and sending the ship plummeting.
  • Saving the Ship: Hiraani successfully sprinted down into the hold, passed an Intelligence check, and reset the crystal to stabilize the ship. Graa then used a higher-level Mass Healing Word to heal the injured crew members, making him very popular on board.
  • Entering the Jungle: Upon landing on the beach, Hiraani used his Ranger Natural Explorer skills to locate an overgrown path leading into the Wailing Jungle. The party carefully stealth-walked through the dense, noisy jungle until nightfall.
  • The Magnificent Mansion & Communing: Graa cast his newly acquired Mordenkainen's Magnificent Mansion spell, designing the interior as a luxurious treehouse complete with monkey servants. Inside, Graa successfully communed with The Keeper, who informed him that they are on the right path but will highly likely be attacked the next day.

The Antics

  • The Unheroic Disembarkment: When sliding down the ropes from the hovering airship to the beach, all three party members completely botched their descents. Hiraani slid too fast and got a severe friction burn on his inner thighs. Graa got his tail caught, flipped upside down, and landed head-first in the sand. Lorena's cloak caught on a nail, leaving her briefly suspended by her neck before she plummeted and landed hard on her tailbone. The elven crew watched in awkward silence as the "saviors of the world" embarrassingly dusted themselves off.
  • The Monkey Servant Poop: While in the Magnificent Mansion, Hiraani rolled a 2 on his attempt to commune with his deity. As a result of the failure, one of the magical monkey servants threw a piece of poop that slapped Hiraani right on the forehead.
  • Crafting "Zed" the Decoy: To prepare for the dangers of the jungle, the group decided to create a decoy to carry in front of them using Mage Hand. They used the dead monkey servant (who was killed for throwing the poop) as the base. Graa went outside to gather sticks, moss, and leaves, and Hiraani used a calligraphy set to craft an incredibly realistic (though cross-eyed) monkey puppet. They named their new terrifying decoy "Zed".

Where They Are Going Next The party awoke at 5:00 AM with the sunrise, dispelled their magical treehouse, and prepared to venture deeper into the Wailing Jungle. Their goal is to survive the multi-day trek to reach Glimmerfall and locate the Feywild portal.
